Myself Essay in English (10 Lines, Paragraph, Essays and Self Introduction Speech)
A myself essay is often the first piece of writing a teacher asks for, and it is also one of the trickiest, because you have to describe yourself honestly and simply. This page has samples for every stage: 10 lines for young children, a set for class 5, a my self paragraph of 100 words, essays about myself of 100, 200, 300 and 500 words, a self introduction speech for college and 10 lines on myself in Hindi.
Each sample uses a made-up student. Keep the structure, but replace the name, age, class, city, family details, hobbies and aim with your own. A short, true essay about yourself always reads better than a long one copied word for word.

500 Words Essay About Myself (Class 9 and 10)
Introduction
Writing about myself is harder than writing on any other topic, because I have to look at myself honestly. I am Sneha Kulkarni, a fifteen-year-old student of Class 10 in Bhopal. On the surface, I am a quiet girl who sits in the second row and takes neat notes. Those who know me well, though, say I have strong opinions and a very loud laugh.
My Family and Background
I come from a middle-class family of four. My father works in the accounts section of a private company, and my mother runs a small tuition class for primary children at home. My younger brother, Om, is in Class 4 and is the noisiest member of our house. My parents moved to Bhopal from a village in Maharashtra before I was born, so I grew up speaking Marathi at home and Hindi and English outside. I am proud of this mix of languages.
My Studies and Interests
Biology is my favourite subject because I am fascinated by how the human body works. I also enjoy geography and keep a scrapbook of maps and newspaper cuttings. Outside the classroom, I have been learning Kathak for six years, and dancing is my way of relaxing after long hours of study. I read a lot, mostly novels and biographies, and once a month I volunteer at a nearby old age home, where I read the newspaper aloud to the residents.
My Strengths and Weaknesses
My biggest strength is discipline. I make a simple timetable every week and try hard to stick to it. I am a good listener, and friends often come to me when they are upset. My weakness is that I worry too much. Before every exam, I imagine that I will forget everything. I have learnt that slow breathing, enough sleep and steady revision help me far more than worrying. I am also learning to speak up in group discussions instead of keeping my ideas to myself.
Values That Guide Me
My grandmother taught me to treat everyone with the same respect, whether it is the vegetable seller or the school principal. My parents taught me that effort matters more than marks, and that mistakes are lessons, not failures. When I scored poorly in a mathematics test in Class 8, my father did not scold me. He sat with me every evening for a month until I understood the chapter. That taught me patience and the value of asking for help. These lessons guide me whenever I have to make a choice.
Conclusion: My Aim in Life
I want to become a doctor and work in a small town where good hospitals are few. I have seen how far people in my parents' village travel for simple treatment, and I wish to change that in my own small way. I know the path is long and demanding, but I am ready for it. More than any title, I want to be a kind and honest person who makes life a little easier for others.

In the coming years, I want to learn as much as I can, make good friends and take part in projects that help people. I look forward to learning from my teachers and from each one of you.
I will end with a simple thought: a new beginning is the best time to become a better version of ourselves.

How to Write a Myself Essay and Introduce Yourself in a Speech
- Begin with something that shows your personality, such as one word that describes you or a habit people notice, instead of only "My name is".
- Cover the basics early: name, age, class, school or college, and the city or village you live in.
- Add your family, your favourite subjects, your hobbies and one or two real achievements, even small ones like a prize or a skill you learnt.
- Mention one honest weakness and what you are doing to improve it. This makes an essay about yourself sound mature, especially in class 8 to 10.
- For a 500 word essay, use headings such as Introduction, My Family, My Interests, Strengths and Weaknesses, and Conclusion.
- In a self introduction speech, greet the audience first, speak slowly, smile, keep it under two minutes and end with a thank-you.
- Finish with your aim in life or a value you believe in, so the reader remembers you.
